WSCA is a place of education where a student can concentrate on refocusing
and learning. Each child begins a new life in our school. He/she comes into
us in an under- or un-developed condition. Each needs training. Each comes as an
empty glass just waiting to be filled. We help each child understand that he/she is
responsible for developing their own character and for achieving their own destiny.
The mission of the West Side Christian Academy is to build academic excellence into the hearts and lives of young children and to prepare them for college success. We target poor, minority, disadvantaged, "at-risk" and single parent children. We welcome all eager learners to the Academy and look with anticipation for our growth to 100 high performing scholars in grades K-12.
We provide full-day, Christ-centered, academic instruction in a student driven learning process. Our goal is to build students who will graduate high school having gained the skills and motivation to complete college, get meaningful employment and then help another needy child to do the same. In this way we help create a high performing, productive, positive peer group that sets a norm of excellence and raises the standard of high achievement in our community.
